Azerbaijani regional bank to draw new shareholder

The Azerbaijani regional Ganja Bank increases its authorized capital to 15 million manats by drawing a new shareholder, Head of Ganja Bank's Board Fuad Musayev said on Feb. 2.

"An Azerbaijani individual joined the bank's shareholder group by acquiring 25 percent of stakes," Musayev said.  "As a result, number of Ganja Bank's shareholders reached three."

The Azerbaijani State Securities Committee has registered a prospect of emission of Ganja Bank's stakes at 5 million manats with 20 manats cost for each. ADB Broker LLC will be an underwriter when placing stakes.

At present the bank's authorized capital makes up 10 million manats and aggregate capital tops 12 million manats, Musayev said.

Ganja Bank is functioning since 1994. Earlier the bank has 15 shareholders and one of them was the Ganja Airport which possessed 0.1 percent of stakes. At present the bank has only two individual shareholders.

On Feb. 2, the official exchange rate is 0.8073 manat to $1.
