Great Britain continues to maintain leading position for the amount of the investments in Azerbaijan with percentage in the foreign investments at 45.8 percent (173.3 million).
In April 93.1 percent (352.4 million manat) of the investments by the foreign countries and international organizations in the economy of Azerbaijan accounted for investors from the United Kingdom, the U.S., Japan, Norway, France and Turkey.
U.S. investment accounted to 87.1 million manats (with specific weight of 23 percent), Japan - 35.5 million manats (9.4 percent), Turkey - 17,8 million manat (4.7 percent), Norway - 22.2 manats million (5.9 percent), French - 16,5 million manat (4.3 percent), Austria - 229,000 manats (0.1 percent), Sweden - 456,500 manat (0.1 percent), Czech - 6.59 million manat (1.7 percent), Korean - 1.54 million manats (0.4 percent), Italy - 241,300 manats, German - 0,500 manats, Kazakhstan - 343,100 manats (0.1 percent).
Of the international financial institutions, the highest amount of the investments accounted for the World Bank at 14.02 million manats (with 3.7 percent). Asian Development Bank provided 1.37 million manat (0.4 percent) for projects in Azerbaijan in April, Islamic Development Bank - 882,000 manat (0.2 percent), Kuwait Fund for Economic Development - 461,400 manat (0, 1 percent).
