One of Azerbaijan's largest construction companies ACCORD is building the longest bridge in the country, the company said on June12.
The bridge is built at 124-kilometer of the Baku - Russian border road. The bridge is 541 meters and height - 22 meters. The bridge has 16 spans and three-stage piers, most of which have already been completed. The work at four spans has been fully completed and at 7 spans- partially.
The report says that with the completion of construction of this bridge, the work at 134-kilometers of this highway will finish.
The road is of international significance and will be put into operation in autumn, the report said.
The main work of ACCORD construction company in the project of Baku - Russian border is to lay concrete roads in the 16-134 km of the highway. So far, the company over 120 kilometers of roads changed communication lines that cross this line, as well as built water distributors, bridges and crossings.
Under the project, the company also built on this road 21 bridges and viaducts, 10 knots, two tunnels, a railway bridge, 15 conversions for the animals, but also laid 112 special pipes for communication lines.
