The permanent parliamentary committee on social policy is likely to develop a bill "On social services" and" On social protection of industrially injured persons", head of the committee, Hadi Rajabli told the official website of the ruling New Azerbaijan party.
The committee is also developing major amendments to the law "On reproductive health", Rajabli added.
Although the Azerbaijani parliament plans to focus on discussing a bill "On the 2010 public budget" in its autumn session, several bills in the social sphere will also be included in agenda, Rajabli added.
At present, there is a new era of development of laws in Azerbaijan and even some existing laws will be updated, Rajabli said.
The parliamentary committee on social policy has also prepared 53 amendments to the Labor Code of the country, despite the fact that within 10 years since its adoption, 51 changes has been made to the document.
All of these changes concern protection of workers' rights, while some of them deal with the protection employers' rights, Rajabli said.
