Railway section of Senaki-Poti has been restored in Western Georgia, Georgian Railway told Trend on October 22.

Railway traffic was suspended on October 21 at 01:00. It has been restored at 12:00 Georgian time, OJSC said.

About 150-meter-railway section was damaged as a result of sabotage.

A powerful explosion caused crash of freight train loaded with 12 cisterns of black oil. The train directed to Kulevi oil terminal. 

Black oil was spilled but environment was slightly damaged.

Repairmen worked all day and night to restore damaged railway section and traffic.

Amount of damage has been not determined yet. Operations are underway.

A criminal case was filed. The investigation is underway. It should be noted that four sabotages have been held in Western Georgian railway for the last six months.
