The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan has simplified the procedure on registering participants of foreign economic activity (FEA) from Jan.1 within automation of the tax and customs system (SCC), the SCC said today.
"Though the entrepreneurs previously used to receive a statistical code from the customs authorities, now it can be issued by the official website of the State Customs Committee," the SCC said earlier.
A separate rubric has been appeared on the official website of the SCC (www.dgk.gov.az), where each entrepreneur will be able to get their statistical code.
"Every action is being taken in order to simplify trade, ensure the transparency of entrepreneurial activities, as well as the transit to an automated system of customs procedures," the SCC said.
A "single window" system in the inspection of goods and vehicles at customs checkpoints in the state borders has been introduced on Jan. 1, 2009. The main purpose of introducing this system was to create necessary conditions for the removal of artificial obstacles in the inspections of goods and vehicles, conduct import-export operations in accordance with modern requirements, and others.
