Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC) and Georgian Finance Ministry's Customs Control Department of Revenue Service signed an action plan for 2010-2011 to improve joint combating customs offenses, the SCC said.
The action plan was signed in Tbilisi within the working group's meeting on joint combating customs offenses.
The action plan envisages establishing a permanent working group to solve the issues on combating customs offenses, ensuring constant information exchange on excise goods passing through the border, organizing Azerbaijani State Customs Committee and Services investigation of the Georgian Finance Ministry's Revenue Service's Investigation Department's joint activity, as well as conducting joint operations to identify cases of illegal transportation of drugs, psychotropic substances, weapons by road, air and rail border.
