In January Azerbaijan carried out construction operations worth 172.7 million manat or 13.2 percent more than in January 2009, the Azerbaijani State Committee on Statistics said today.
The volume of construction operations in the public sector amounted to 58.2 million with growth at 6.8 percent per year, in the private sector - 114.5 million manat (by 16,7 percent).
About 129,4 million manat of the total construction operations fall on the primary construction, reconstruction and expansion, 22,4 million manat - overhaul, 8.8 million manat - maintenance, 12.1 million manat - other construction operations.
In January, the construction sector of Azerbaijan included 62,000 manat. Nominal wage level in the construction sector amounted to 449.9 manat or 10.6 percent more than in January 2008. Nominal wage levels in large and medium-sized construction companies amounted 500.7 manat, in public companies - 365.8 manat. Salary in preparation for construction operations increased by 46.6 percent, the construction of buildings and facilities - at 11.5 percent.
