Prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services in Azerbaijan in May decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month, the State Statistics Committee said.

Prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services in Azerbaijan in May decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month, the State Statistics Committee said.

Food prices fell in May by 0.3 percent, the tariffs for services - 0.1 percent. Prices for industrial goods increased by 0,2 percent.

Last month, rice, wheat flour, semolina, pasta, lamb and chicken, unsterilized milk, cream, cream cheese and feta cheese, eggs, fresh and frozen fish, bananas, plums, strawberry, cabbages, greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, beets, carrots, garlic, onion cheapened.

Prices for sausages, beef, sterilized milk, butter, margarine, sugar and granulated sugar, lemon, apples, pears, oranges, tangerines, walnuts, chestnuts increased in May.

During the month there was an increase in prices for furniture and household appliances.

Prices for paint for the floor, glass for windows, lumber, flooring and laminated flooring, bricks, cement, metal tiles increased. Wallpaper, wood shavings, glue for wallpaper cheapened.
