Blasts on a railway line in Dagestan did not damage trains traveling from Azerbaijan toward Russia, Azerbaijan Railways spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said.

The Baku-Tumen and Baku-Rostov trains are traveling on schedule, she said.

"When the Baku-Tumen and Baku-Rostov trains reach the area, traffic will already be restored," Azmammadov said.

A locomotive and two wagons filled with sand exploded on the Tarki-Manas crossing in Dagestan. The blast occurred at 4:50 a.m. Moscow time.
