Azerbaijani regional bank identifies agriculture lending as priority

The Azerbaijani Gandja Bank allocated loans worth more than 850,000 manat for financing of the agriculture sector since early 2010, the bank said.

"Financing of the projects in the agriculture sector is a priority for the bank. The bank allocated loans worth 400,000 from its own account and 450,000 through the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund," the bank said.

To date, the bank's aggregate loan portfolio amounts to 29 million manat.

Gandja Bank operates since 1994. Bank's head office is located in the country's Ganja city. The authorized capital amounts to 15 million manat. The bank has four branches in Ganja, Shamkir, Barda and Kapaz regions.

The official exchange rate is 0.8039 manat to $1 Aug. 24.
