Minister: Chinese investors negotiate on Poti Port shares

Chinese investors are interested in acquiring shares in the port of Poti, the Arab-owned Raakiya company reported, Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Vera Kobalia said today.

She added that talks on the issue are underway.

Kobalia has not specified which Chinese company has entered the negotiations.

She confirmed that Raakiya intends to sell a stake in the port.

The Arab company began to manage the port in 2008.
