In the Jan-Nov of 2010, Turkey's exports to Iran increased by 46 percent to $2.6 billion, source in the Turkish Exporters' Council (TIM) wrote Trend in an e-mail on Wednesday.
"By the end of 2010 exports to Iran will approximate to $3 billion. Given current growth rates, as of late 2011, we expect Turkey's exports to Iran at the level of $4 billion," source said.
In 2005 Turkey's exports to Iran amounted to $913 million, in 2009 exports grew by 121 percent, reaching 2$ billion. During last five years, the major increase was observed in the export of fresh and dried fruit, olives and metallurgy.
According to the TIM, Turkey's export to Iran shows great increase and Turkey would like to develop trade with Iran in areas which are not restricted by the international sanctions against this country.
