The overall export and import unit value indices in December 2010 in Turkey increased over the same period a year earlier by 3.5 percent and 8.1 percent (2003=100), respectively, said TurkStat, the country's statistics authority, Anadolu News Agency reported.
In December 2010, the overall export and import volume indices increased by 14 percent and 26.8 percent ,respectively, compared to the corresponding month a year earlier.
Calendar adjusted export and import volume indices also increased by 14 percent and 27.6 percent, respectively, over the same period of the preceding year, TurkStat said.
In 2010, compared to 2009, the export volume index increased by 7 percent while the import volume index, 20.5 percent.
