JSC Azeryolservis under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport is developing a project to build an additional tunnel for the previously built bridge to facilitate the operation of the circle near the metro station "20 January", a source in the company said.
The source said that the variants of building a new tunnel are being considered now. It will start from either Zardabi prospect or Sharifzadeh Street and end at the former circle of the third micro-region in Baku. At present, the road junction is situated there.
"This tunnel was originally envisaged. It will not change the project," the source said.
He said that the tunnel was not built due to lack of funds.
