The Baku Taxi Company, which was was established to update the capital's taxi fleet with TX4 London Taxis, is recruiting taxi drivers.
The company invites drivers with a "B" category driving license to work. Applicants must be above 19 and have at least one year of experience.
Earlier, Azerbaijan signed a contract with Manganese Bronze Holdings, the manufacturer of the distinctive London taxi, to deliver new cabs.
The agreement to supply 1,000 London taxis this year by Shanghai LTI, the holding's joint venture with the Chinese Geely Automobile Holdings, is the single major contract the holding has received for its London taxi. The first shipment of 100 vehicles is scheduled for late April.
The balance of the order is expected to be built and shipped by the end of November. The total value of the order is around $27 million.
Earlier, the ministry said in total it plans to bring 3,000 new taxis to Baku.
The purple cars color will operate as cabs in the capital.
In total, 7,000-8,000 cabs made by various producers will be delivered to Baku and the Azerbaijani regions.
