Depositary base of Azerbaijani banks grew by 0.96 percent in April 2011 and by 2.5 percent since early 2011, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said.
Based on the CBA data, as of May 1, total sum of bank deposits and deposits by legal and physical entities hit 5.585 billion manat compared to 5.532 billion manat as April 1 and 5.448 billion manat as of early 2011. About 2.575.9 billion manat (46.1 percent) fell to manat and 3.009.5 billion manat (53.9 percent) to currency.
The deposits of physical entities grew by 2.1 percent in April, the deposits of legal entities decreased by 0.7 percent. The deposits by individual clients increased by 10.85 percent as of early 2011.
The deposits by corporate clients decreased by 7.9 percent.
The deposits of physical entities totaled 3.358.7 billion manat as of May 1 compared to 3.289.1 billion manat as of early April and 3.029.8 billion manat as of Jan.1, 2011.
The deposits of legal entities totaled 2.226.7 billion manat compared to 2.243.2 billion manat and 2.419 billion manat, accordingly.
