The premiums at Azerbaijani insurance companies for compulsory insurance and disability resulting from occupational diseases and industrial accidents hit 11.941 million manat in January-May 2011, or 37.12 percent more compared to January-April, the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry reported.
In May, Atesgah Heyat was the first and only company in the country paying for this
insurance.
A driver at a Baku food enterprise died in the accident.
The sum of the one-time grant was 12,590 manat, according to the insured sum under the contract.
Only three life insurance companies that are licensed to provide services for compulsory insurance and disability resulting from occupational diseases and accidents at work -
Atesgah Heyat, Qala Heyat and Pasa Heyat operate in Azerbaijan today.
There are 28 insurance and one reinsurance companies in Azerbaijan.
