The volume of Iran's petrochemical products export increased by 2.8 million tons valued $2 billion during first two months of current solar year(started on March20,2011), IRNA reported quoting Deputy Oil Minister Abdol Hossein Bayat as saying.
"Iran produced 6.5 million tons of petrochemical products and exported 3.720 million tons from its production during first two months of current solar year," he said.
More than 18 million tons of petrochemical products exported last solar year, and 10 million tons of petrochemicals sold at domestic markets.
It's expected that the value of petrochemical products exports would increase to $14 billion in the future, he noted.
