Observation of labor laws in abnormally hot weather conditions in Azerbaijan is under the control of the Labor and Social Welfare Ministry , the ministry reported.
"Under the law, work in the open air should be either ceased or terminated or carried out with two or three-hour break at a temperature 41 degrees above zero," the ministry said. " Employees of the State Labor Inspection Service were dispatched to regions of the country to monitor the situation with observation of the legislation."
In the case of violations of the law, employers will be fined from 1,000 to 2,000 manat. The Ministry said it did not reveal such facts.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources issued a formal warning to the population on Wednesday due to abnormally hot weather in Azerbaijan, which will last until the end of July.
The air temperature will be 38-40 degrees above zero in Baku and Absheron peninsula, 38-40 degrees, or 42 degrees in some places, in the Aran region and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and 31-36 degrees in mountainous areas, the National Hydrometeorology Department of Environment and Natural Resources reported on Wednesday.
Sunny weather is forecasted in Baku and Absheron Peninsula on July 28, with a south wind transiting to the southeast wind in the noon hours. The temperature will be23-27 degrees in the night hours, but will attain 36-40 degrees during the day. The water temperature on Absheron's beaches will be 28-29 degrees.
No rainfall is expected in the regions of Azerbaijan and the east wind will reign on July 28.
The temperature will be 22-27 degrees at night hours, and 35-40 degrees during the day, sometimes attaining 42 degrees, but 17-22 degrees in night hours and 30-35 degrees during the day in the mountains.
