Iran suggests applying visa-free mode among Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member-countries, IRNA reported quoting Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and Consular Issues Hassan Gashgavi as saying.
Gashgavi urged the ECO countries can launch eliminating visas for state and government officials as the first step.
The first meeting of the ECO Heads of National Organizations/Centers for Civil Registration started in Tehran on October 3.
ECO member-countries include Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The total population of the ECO countries is about 400 million people.
