Ambassador: Japan to provide Azerbaijan with cooperation proposals

The Japanese government intends to submit a package of new proposals on economic cooperation to Azerbaijan. They will be discussed at a regular meeting of the intergovernmental commission.

The meeting headed by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov and Japanese Itochu VP Yoichi Kobayashi will be held in Baku on Nov. 22-23, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzada told Trend on Wednesday.

The Japanese government pays special attention to developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, waste processing, and social projects, he said.

A large delegation consisting of representatives of various Japanese companies plans to pay a visit to Baku to participate in the meeting and to explore new alleys for cooperation.
