Azerbaijan ranks second in list of Georgia’s major trade partners

Azerbaijan ranks second in the list of Georgia's major trade partners in the first ten months of 2011, the Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Thursday.

According to the report, the trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan reached 792 million dollars.

At the same time, Georgia exported goods worth over $3.102 billion to Azerbaijan (a 17.8-percent increase compared to the same period of last year), and imported to $420.457 million (a 10.5-percent increase).

Georgia's major trade partner in January-October 2011 was Turkey, with which the foreign trade turnover amounted to $1.217 billion (a 16-percent). Ukraine ranks third - $690.814 million.

Georgia's ten major trade partners' share in foreign trade turnover during the reporting period hit 67 percent.

According to the Georgian Statistics Service, in January-October foreign trade turnover of Georgia amounted to $7.322 billion, which is 39 percent more than the same period of last year.
