Russian machinery company can supply 10,000 gondola cars to Kazakhstan

Russia's giant machinery company Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) is discussing the opportunities for supplies of 5,000-10,000 railway coaches to Kazakhstan, Deputy Director General Andrew Shlyonsky said on the sidelines of the International Conference 'Transport Service Market: cooperation and partnership', Novosti-Kazakhstan reported..

"We are negotiating with Kazakhstan on supplies of 5,000-10,000 gondola cars," Shlyonsky said.

According to Shlyonsky, in this regard UVZ is in talks with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan's Railways) and other operators and expects to discuss long-term contracts with Kazakhstan in future.

Moreover, next year the company expects to output at least 25,000 railway coaches in total, Shlyonsky said.

Uralvagonzavod is a Russian state owned machinery company. The company's main products include railway cars and tanks, road-building vehicles, metallurgical products, tools and consumer goods. The company is one of the Russian leaders in developing and manufacturing high-quality machine-building products of world class.
