The share capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan was 1.75 trillion soms as of Jan. 10, 2012, the State Central Securities Depository said on Tuesday.
According to the report, the total share capital of the country's banks is divided into 3.850.5 billion shares.
The share capital of commercial banks constitutes 23.1 percent of the total share capital and 54.2 percent of the total number of shares in Uzbekistan's securities market.
The Central Depository stores 7.098.7 billion shares of 1,309 joint stock companies worth 7.574.76 trillion soms.
As it was previously reported, in January-September 2011, the total bank capital, given formed share capital, increased by 13.5 percent and amounted to 4.655 trillion soms as of Oct.1, 2011.
The official exchange rate is 1800.1084 soms to $1 on Jan.10.
