Enterprises decreased business activity in Kazakhstan by 5 percent in December compared to the previous month index - 5 percent, the Kazakh Statistics Agency reported

Enterprises decreased business activity in Kazakhstan by 5 percent in December compared to the previous month index - 5 percent, the Kazakh Statistics Agency reported.

"Heads of industrial enterprises stressed a decline in demand for finished commodity and consequently, production volumes slightly decreased," the agency said.
The business activity of trade enterprises increased by 2 percent in December compared to the previous month. The business confidence index made up 4 percent.

According to the agency's survey, majority of industrial enterprises' managers expected growth in their activity until March 2012.
"About 66 percent of companies expect the immutability of the financial and economic activity until March compared to the present time, 17 percent forecast a growth and 14 percent a decline," the agency said.
