FAO to issue grant for Kazakh veterinary development

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will issue a grant worth $400,000 for the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry, the country's Agriculture Minister Asylzhan Mamytbekov said. The grant will be issued for veterinary development in the country.

"FAO will provide expert and consulting assistance to the Agriculture Ministry in the form of a grant in the veterinary", Mamytbekov wrote on his Twitter account on Monday.

According to Mamytbekov, the grant will be directed at research and expert work.

The Food and Agriculture Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger. The FAO is also a source of knowledge and information, and helps developing countries and countries in transition modernize and improve agriculture, forestry and fisheries practices, ensuring good nutrition and food security for all.
