Kazakhstan increased the mutual trade with the Customs Union countries (Russia and Belarus) by 6.9 percent in January-December 2012 compared to the same period of 2011, Kazakh Statistics agency reported.
During the reporting period, Kazakhstan mainly exported to Russia and Belarus mineral products (38.9 percent of all exported products), metals and metal products (30.9 percent) and chemical products (14.6 percent).
Kazakhstan's import from the Customs Union countries consisted mainly of mineral products (27.0 percent of all imported products), machinery and equipment (27.0 percent), metals and metal products (13.0 percent) and chemical products (11.3 percent).
