In January-March 2013, Azerbaijan imported 1,475 trucks, which is 18 percent less than in January-March 2012, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Friday.
As the Committee said, the value of trucks imported into the country during the reporting period was $17.5 million, or 54.5 percent less than in January-March 2012.
Last year, Azerbaijan imported 9,432 trucks, or 52.7 percent more than the figure of 2011. The total cost of imported trucks amounted to more than $213.4 million, which is 45.6 percent more than the figure of 2011.
Also in January-March 2013, the country imported 245 buses, which is 15.2 percent less than in January-March 2012. The total value of imported buses amounted to more than $11.3 million, or 31.2 per cent less than the same period of last year.
In 2012, the country imported 1,038 buses, or 58.5 percent more than in 2011. The total value of imported buses amounted to $49.88 million, which is 88.1 percent more than in 2011.
