Kazakh Development Bank increases potential projects portfolio in regions

"Development Bank of Kazakhstan" JSC (subsidiary of JSC "National Holding" Baiterek ") extends the portfolio of potential projects (pipeline) through preliminary selection of applications in the regions of the country, according to the press service of the bank.
"Today the Kazakh Development Bank considers financing of twenty investment projects in five regions of Kazakhstan with a total requested loan amount of $2.16 billion," the report said.
All these projects which are presented in such industries as machine building, metallurgy, mining and metallurgical complex, construction, food processing are under banking expertise.
The bank`s representatives visited five regional centers of the country: Aktobe, Pavlodar, Uralsk, Shymkent and Karaganda. The bank received 112 applications for funding projects.
Today more than 99 percent of the loan portfolio of the bank accounts for the regions of Kazakhstan, the report said.
The total pipeline of the bank now exceeds one trillion tenge ($1 - 182 tenge).
Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC - national institute for the modernization and development of non-primary and infrastructure sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan was established in 2001. The main activities of the bank are development of industrial infrastructure and manufacturing industries, encouragement of foreign and domestic investment into the country`s economy. The bank is one of the largest investment operators of the state program of forced industrial-innovative development.
