Georgia’s foreign trade turnover increases by 12 percent in Jan.-Aug.

Georgia's foreign trade turnover (excluding non-organized trade) amounted to $7.411 million in January-August 2014 or by 12 percent more than in the same period of 2013.

The export share is $1.914 million (nine percent more than in 2013), while imports account for $5.497 million (13 percent more than in 2013), the Georgian Statistics Office said.

Georgia's negative trade balance amounted to $3.584 million in January-August 2014 or 48 percent of the foreign trade turnover.
