Transaction volume decreases on Kazakh housing market

The transaction volume decreased by 14 percent on the Kazakh housing market during a year, Ranking.kz. analytical service said.

"Around 116,000 purchase-sale transactions were formalized in January-September 2014 or by 19,300 less than in the same period of last year," the analysts said.

The number of residential real estate purchase transactions has reduced in 13 regions for the first three quarters of this year. The residents living in the oil areas were the most active buyers, namely, Atyrau - plus 8.2 percent (up to 2,800 transactions), Mangistau - plus 4.1 percent (up to 3,400 transactions), Aktobe - plus one percent (to 6,600 transactions).

"The rise in prices on decent housing resale amounted to 19.4 percent for the first three quarters of 2014," the experts said. "For comparison, the prices increased by only 15.1 percent in January-September 2013."
