Foreigners boost real estate sales in Turkey

The sale of real estate to foreigners increased by 43.4 percent in Turkey from April 2014 to April 2015 compared to April 2014-April 2013, the Turkish Statistics Institute's report said.
According to the report, during this period, the foreigners bought 19,880 properties in Turkey.
The foreigners purchased 6,115 properties in April 2015, which is 17.7 percent more than in April 2014.
According to the institute, Istanbul ranks first in real estate sales to the foreigners. In April 2015, the foreigners purchased 584 properties in Istanbul, which is 19.4 percent more than in April 2014.
The tourist province of Antalya in the south ranked second in real estate sales. The foreigners bought some 133 properties.
Earlier it was reported that some 115,786 properties were sold in Turkey in 2014, which is 13.2 percent more than in 2013.
Some 37.3 percent of properties in Turkey was sold on credit in 2014.
