Turkey intends to increase trade turnover with Qatar, the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade told Trend Jan. 17.
The trade turnover between Turkey and Qatar amounted to $784 million in 2015, $687 million in 2016 and $788 million in 2017, the ministry said.
Both countries have a great potential for increasing trade turnover.
"Qatar and Turkey also have many opportunities to make investments in various sectors of other countries' economies," the ministry said.
A delegation of Turkish businessmen visited Qatar on Jan. 15-17 to discuss new joint projects as well as investment opportunities.
Turkish firms are implementing projects worth $11.6 billion in Qatar.
Also Qatar ranks 19th among the countries that directly invest in the Turkish economy.
