Measures on increasing efficiency of the existing and on creating new free economic zones, technology parks and small industrial zones (SIZs) were determined in Uzbekistan, the press office of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition stated on April 16.
According to the information, the measures are planned to be taken in line with the Strategy of Actions in five priority directions of development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.
The number of the SIZs has increased twofold due to the support of local production, tax privileges and various preferences.
New SIZs have been created in 7 cities and districts of the Kashkadarya province in line with the March 29, 2018 presidential decree “On measures for creation of small industrial zones in Kashkadarya province”.
The province administration jointly with the State Competition Committee organized a visit of the deputy heads of the administrations of the cities and districts to the SIZs created in the Tashkent province and the city of Tashkent.
The guests have been familiarized with the work carried out in project allocation, monitoring, implementation of the investment commitments and work of boards.
