Uzbek Kishlokkurilishbank JSCB opened a point for sending international money transfers on the territory of the Mirobod peasant market, the press service of the Tashkent administration stated.
Reportedly, the money transfer point will work from 9 am to 6 pm on Western Union, Moneygram, Zolotaya Korona, Contact and Asia Express international payment systems.
Citizens can send a transfer in Uzbek soums (in cash and using banking cards), and the recipient will be able to choose a currency in which he wants to receive the sent money.
Commissions for the Western Union and Moneygram transfers are determined based on the direction and amount of the transfer. For money transfers through the Zolotaya Korona, Contact and Asia Express system 1-percent commission is charged.
Uzbekistan introduced money transfer in national currency on December 1, 2017. Agrobank and Hamkorbank were the first banks to introduce it on practice.
