In January-June of this year, payments of the top ten insurance companies of Azerbaijan made up 110.27 million manat (92.43 percent of the total volume of insurance payments).
The results of the activity of insurance companies for January-June of 2018 were announced by the Chamber of Supervision over the Financial Markets of Azerbaijan.

PASHA Life Insurance Company takes the top spot, accounting for 28.71 percent of the refunds paid by all companies during the reporting period. During the first five months of 2018, this company paid out 31.66 million manat.
At the same time, PASHA Insurance with total payments of 25.46 million manat (about 23.09 percent of all payments) is in the second spot, followed by Ateshgah with payments of 9.76 million manat (8.85 percent).
In January-June of this year, insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan collected premiums of 365.25 million manat (an increase of 51.99 percent over the year), payments for the same period amounted to 110.27 million manat (a decrease of 3.71 percent over the year).
The report does not take into account the results of the activities of the only reinsurance company AzRe.
In Azerbaijan there are 21 insurance companies.
