Azerbaijan’s supermarket chain Araz (part of Veysəloğlu LLC) imported about 90 tons of natural fruit juices produced by the Uzbek factory Agromir, Ilham Mammadov, the head of the public relations department of the Azerbaijani group of companies Veysəloğlu, told Trend.

According to Mammadov, even though there is a certain interest in these products, they have not yet gained much popularity due to being new in the Azerbaijani market.

According to the information, average monthly volume of sales of products of the Uzbek company varies between 13-14 tons.

Mamedov also noted that although Veysəloğlu LLC currently does not import any products from Uzbekistan, the company, however, is ready to evaluate the relevant proposals and establish cooperation in this direction.

The trading and distribution company Veysəloğlu began its activities in 1994 as a wholesale sales center and at first imported food products exclusively from Turkey.

The company owns a central warehouse, located in Baku, and also has a Salyan branch covering the southern region of the country, and the Mingachevir branch, which covers the western region. Both branches are equipped with the latest technical equipment in accordance with the latest requirements. The company also owns a special private railway.

In January-September 2018, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan reached $30.73 million, $7.08 million of which accounted for exports from Azerbaijan, and $23.65 million – for imports from Uzbekistan.
