Currently, 10 residents are functioning at the Balakhani Industrial Park, and next year, their number will increase to 15, the Balakhani Industrial Park told Trend.
According to the source, the residents will be engaged in activities in 17 production areas.
"Next year, as part of the second phase of activity of the Balakhani Industrial Park, it is also expected that new jobs will be created. In the first phase, about 400 jobs were created in the industrial park," the source stated.
According to the source, it is planned to carry out the recycling of polyethylene and polypropylene waste, the production of adhesive tape from recycled polyethylene waste, the production of raw materials for biodiesel as a result of oil processing, the production of charcoal (activated carbon) through waste processing, the production of fertilizers and fodder from food waste during the upcoming phase of activity of the industrial park.
All industrial parks in Azerbaijan operate under Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park CJSC. The country has five industrial parks - Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, Balakhani Industrial Park, Garadagh Industrial Park, Mingachevir Industrial Park and Pirallahi Industrial Park.
