In January-September 2018, Uzbekistan’s insurance companies increased the amount of collected insurance premiums by 90 percent to 1.18 trillion soums, the Finance Ministry of of Uzbekistan said in a statement.
According to the information, the volume of insurance payments of companies increased by half compared to the same period in 2017 and amounted to 296.3 billion soums.
The total authorized capital of companies grew by 68 percent and amounted to 500.9 billion soums.
Investments of insurance companies exceeded 1.87 trillion soums, which is 29 percent higher compared to the same period in 2017. Insurance companies made 957.1 billion soums in deposits (47 percent) and 672.7 billion soums (8 percent) – securities.
In January-September 2018, Uzagrosugurta collected premiums of 149.4 billion soums (an increase of 40.7 percent), Uzbekinvest – 136.9 billion soums (2.07 times) and Gross Insurance – 112.1 billion soums (2.17 times).
The leaders in terms of insurance payments were New Life Insurance (59.8 billion soums), O’zbekinvest Hayot (49.6 billion soums) and Agros Hayot (46.2 billion soums).
