Azerbaijan’s processing center AzeriCard will present a renewed “PIN Set” service for bank card holders, Jahangir Mammadov, head of the AzeriCard business development department, told Trend Jan. 9.
The “PIN Set” service allows banks to issue plastic cards without a PIN code, and card holders can independently set a PIN code in a bank branch when receiving a card.
Mammadov said the innovation will allow card holders to independently set up PIN codes for their cards through a web interface and an ATM.
“By using an ATM or a web interface, a client, without coming to the bank, will be able to receive a card by mail both within Azerbaijan and abroad, and independently set a PIN code. This service is planned to be launched during the first quarter of this year.”
