Azerbaijani alcoholic beverage producer Az-Granata has established deliveries of wine to Germany and the Czech Republic, director of the company’s alcohol production Vugar Mikayilov told Trend.

He also noted that a batch of vodka under the White City brand is currently being prepared to be exported to Russia.

"Previously, the alcoholic beverages were also exported to Ukraine, the US and China. Presently, new markets are being explored. Also the next batch will be sent to China in the near future," Mikayilov said.

He added that Az-Granata is the leader in alcohol sales in Azerbaijan and a major tax payer in the food industry. The company pays an excise tax of over one million manats every month.

"Raw materials for the production of alcoholic beverages are purchased from Ukraine. Five to six containers of spirits are expected to be delivered to Azerbaijan in the upcoming week. Earlier we would buy raw materials from Belarus. For the first time, our company produced non-alcoholic wine. Presently, we are mastering the production of oak vodka using Swiss technology. The new technology provides for storing vodka in oak barrels, which gives the product soft, refined aroma and amber color. We plan to start its production in a month," Mikayilov said.
