Investments in fixed assets in Kazakhstan decrease

In Kazakhstan, total investments in fixed assets in January 2019 amounted to 644.5 billion tenge, which is 2.5 percent less than in the same month of 2018, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

According to the Statistics Committee of the Kazakh National Economy Ministry, the predominant sources of investment in the reporting period were own funds of economic entities, the volume of which amounted to 604.2 billion tenge.

In January, there was an increase of 6.4 percent in investments in the purchase of machinery, equipment, vehicles, and their overhaul.

A significant share of investments in fixed assets accounted for mining and quarrying (56.1 percent), real estate operations (11.7 percent) and transport and warehousing (8.7 percent).

The volume of investments of large enterprises amounted to 449.7 billion tenge.
