Output up by 50% at Iran's Mouteh Gold Complex

Production has increased by 50 percent at Mouteh gold complex in Iran's Isfahan province, Director of the complex Alireza Talari said, Trend informs referring to a report of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

In the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), 346 kilograms of ingots were produced, Talari said.

However, according to plans, during the 10 months, 232 kilograms of gold were to be produced, he added.

It is estimated that the gold ingot production of the complex will reach 400 kilograms by the end of the current Iranian year, Talari noted.

Mouteh gold complex had produced 240 kilograms of gold in the first six months of the current year. However, in the previous Iranian year (March 21, 2017 - March 20, 2018) ingot production only reached 231 kilograms.

Statistics indicate that Iran's total annual gold production has reached five tons. In accordance with a development program (2016-2021) the production is planned to hit 10 tons milestone.
