Exports of Iran's Sistan & Baluchestan province up by 128%

During the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), exports of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province increased by 128 percent, Nader Mirshekar, head of Sistan and Baluchestan Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, said, Trend reports via IRNA.

During the reported period, the total value of exported goods exceeded $832 million and their total weight reached 1.43 million tons, Mirshekar said.

Mirshekar added that during the 11 months, goods worth $220 million were exported through the customs of the province, while the of the goods exported via the province's border markets amounted to $612 million.

He further added the main export goods were cement, dates, gas, tiles and ceramics, sulfur, fruits and vegetables and were exported toa number of countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan and the UAE.

Sistan and Baluchestan borders Afghanistan and Pakistan and this strategic location positively affects the province's exports.
