Cargo from Israel via Turkish ports in June exceeds 7M tons

In June 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Israel through the ports of Turkey amounted to 7.005 million tons, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.

The ministry noted that in June 2019, the volume of transshipment of goods from Israel by the ships flying the flag of this country amounted to 89,975 tons, while the volume of transshipment of goods from Israel by the ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 5.983 million tons.

During this period, cargo transshipment from Israel by ships flying the flag of Turkey amounted to 932,174 tons.

The ministry noted that 643,518 tons of cargo were shipped from Israel through Turkey to other countries.

In June 2019, 4,754 ships arrived at Turkish ports, and their gross registered tonnage amounted to 63.603 million tons.

In this period, 2,049 ships sailing under the Turkish flag and 2,705 ships sailing under flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.

The gross registered tonnage of ships arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag in June 2019 amounted to 11.003 million tons, and the gross registered tonnage of ships under flags of other countries was 52.599 million tons.

According to the ministry, in January-June 2019, Turkish ports received 25,869 ships with the gross registered tonnage of 390.223 million tons.

In January-June 2019, the gross registered tonnage of the ships arriving at Turkish ports under the flag of Turkey amounted to 60.091 million tons, while the gross registered tonnage of the ships under the flags of other countries stood at 330.131 million tons.
