Big Iranian companies increase iron ore concentrate production

Big Iranian companies increased iron ore concentrate production by four percent during three months (March 21 – June 21) of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019) compared to the same period of last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the website of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Reportedly, big Iranian companies produced 12.2 million tons of iron ore during three months of this Iranian year compared to 11.7 million tons in the same period of last Iranian year.

Gol-e-Gohar Iron Ore Company produced 4.23 million tons of iron ore, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company - 2.62 million tons, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company - 1.39 million tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company - 1.24 million tons and Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company - 1.14 million tons.

Moreover, Opal Persian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company produced 754,000 tons of iron ore, the National Industrial and Mineral Development Company (NIMIDCO) - 509,000 tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company - 172,000 tons, Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex - 123,000 tons.

During three months, five big mining companies produced about 1.2 million tons of iron ore pellets, which is 35 percent less compared to the same period of last Iranian year (1.86 million tons).

The Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex produced 286,000 tons of iron ore, Sangan Iron Ore Complex - 182,000 tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company - 416,000 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company - 216,000 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company - 104,000 tons.
