Georgia can enter major international markets in which it is currently very weakly present - the US, Canada and Great Britain, noted Giorgi Ezugbaya, Director of Akto Consulting, which provides strategic planning in winemaking, Trend reports via commersant.ge.

“There are several directions in which wine exports can be diversified, namely the CIS countries, Asia, in particular China, and Europe. We also have very impressive success in Poland that was the fifth in terms of Georgian wine imports, and in 2019 is among the top four importers and is ahead of Kazakhstan. Our sales on the Polish market are growing by 20 percent annually,” he explains.

As he said, it requires intense marketing and much time to boost Georgian wine’s popularity in more markets.
