Azerbaijan’s Lankaran Canning Factory, a producer of a wide range of fruit juices and compotes operating in the Azerbaijani Lankaran district, will expand the range of tomato products, manager of the factory Famil Abbasov told Trend.
“Presently, the factory produces two types of these products,” he added.
"We plan to increase the variety of this type of canned products to supply to the foreign markets,” Abbasov said. “The Russian market is considered as a primary market. Moreover, the range of ketchup is planned to be expanded.”
“Presently, only two types of this product are being produced,” he said. “In general, the production of tomato products is planned to be increased by 1.5 - 2 times till late 2019."
Abbasov stressed that the factory exported the products to neighboring Georgia last month.
"These were small volumes,” he said. “The products will be supplied to the Georgian market till late 2019. Presently, the factory is operating at full production capacity."
The products of the factory have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
The Italian equipment is used at the factory.
