Kazakhstan sees increase of aluminum manufacturing

Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant increased aluminum manufacturing by 2.4 percent and export by 5.2 percent in 1H2019, Trend reports with reference to press office of Development Bank of Kazakhstan.

“During 1H2019, the plant has manufactured over 130,000 tons of preliminary aluminum, which is 2.4 percent more than during the same period of last year,” the report said. Furthermore, the 5.2 percent increase of export, which amounted to over 122,000 tons, is also observed during the reporting period.

The major importers of Kazakhstan’s aluminum are plants of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Uzbekistan.

“During 2018, the plant manufactured a total of 258,400 tons of preliminary aluminum. This is a record breaking indicator for the whole time of plant’s operation. This year the aluminum manufacturing volume is expected to increase by 1.3 percent,” the report said.

“There are future plans to increase manufacturing by 250,000 tons. The projects currently is being developed,” the statement said.

Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant is the only preliminary aluminum of high class manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan.
